This Cookie Policy explains how Retail Fixtures Co (a trading name of Express Matting Services Ltd) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Express Matting Services Ltd is the data controller for this website.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your choices, and to provide information to the site owner. Similar technologies such as pixels and local storage do comparable things, and where we refer to cookies in this policy we mean these technologies too. Our website is hosted on Shopify, and some cookies are set by Shopify to run the store, the basket and the checkout.
Why we use cookies
We use cookies to operate the website, keep it secure, remember what is in your basket, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used so we can improve it, and, where you allow it, support marketing.
Types of cookies we use
| Strictly necessary | Required for the website, basket and secure checkout to work. These cannot be switched off in our systems. |
| Functional and preferences | Remember choices you make, such as items in your basket and settings, to give you a better experience. |
| Analytics and performance | Help us understand how visitors use the site, which pages are viewed and whether anything is not working, so we can improve it. |
| Marketing | Used, where you allow it, to measure and support advertising and to show more relevant information. |
Managing your cookies
Where a cookie consent banner is shown to you, you can use it to accept or decline non-essential cookies and to change your choices. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Most browsers let you manage cookies from their settings or help menu. Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the website, including the basket and checkout, may not work properly.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services on our behalf, such as our hosting and payment platform and, where used, analytics and advertising providers. These providers process information in line with their own terms and privacy notices. We explain the categories of personal information we collect and how we use and share it in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the technologies we use or for legal reasons. The latest version is always the one published on this page.
